Volunteer

We welcome members of the local community as volunteers in our workshop’s programs, Special Olympics and as a Member of our Board of Directors.

We actively recruit members who believe in an inclusive society and are willing to advocate for individuals with disabilities. Board members provide leadership, wisdom and creativity for the development of policy, programs and practices that ensure best practice in the services and supports offered by the Association. A primary responsibility of board members is to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making at board meetings held approximately six times a year. Another key responsibility is to be active on an ongoing basis in a committee of the board. Conway Workshop Association has become recognized as an effective provider of quality supports to citizens with disabilities and their families within the Digby area. We invite you to become a part of this growing tradition as we continue to be progressive in meeting the needs of individuals with disabilities, their families and the business community at large.
